How to choose a country for Uber

Uber verifies accounts with a 4-digit code, delivered by SMS (WhatsApp in some markets). You enter the number at the first screen of the Uber app (“Enter your mobile number”). Every country on this list is one where we supply real mobile numbers for Uber verification, so the choice comes down to three things: what the account is for, price, and stock.

1. Match the country to how you'll use the account

If you want a local presence — rides and deliveries with a local number drivers can reach — pick a number from the country you're targeting. Some apps also tailor content, payments or features to the number's country, and a number that matches your location and language settings tends to raise fewer questions during sign-up.

2. Compare prices

Per-code prices for Uber currently range from $0.17 to $1.89. The cheapest five are shown above; the full table is sorted alphabetically so you can find a specific country quickly. You only pay when you order, and a single-use OTP order is refunded automatically if no code arrives.

3. Check stock

“In stock” means we have numbers ready for Uber in that country right now. “Restocking” means they are temporarily taken; new numbers come in during the day, so check back or choose another country.

One code, or a number you keep?

A phone-number plan gives you a real mobile number you keep for as long as you renew, with unlimited incoming SMS and calls — and if Uber doesn't work with it within 7 days, you replace it free with another number from the same country.
