What makes verification codes actually arrive
A missing code usually has one of four causes:
- Line type. Many services run a carrier lookup or HLR lookup before sending. VoIP-looking numbers can fail silently. Real mobile numbers pass more often, though each platform decides which numbers it accepts.
- Country support. A service may not send SMS to every country. Pick a country it actively supports, not just the cheapest.
- Rate limits. Repeated "resend" can trigger SMS rate limiting. Wait between attempts.
