How to choose a country for Facebook

Facebook verifies accounts with a short numeric confirmation code, delivered by SMS. You enter the number at the sign-up form (“Mobile number or email”) or Accounts Center → Personal details → Contact info. Every country on this list is one where we supply real mobile numbers for Facebook verification, so the choice comes down to three things: what the account is for, price, and stock.

1. Match the country to how you'll use the account

If you want a local presence — Marketplace, pages and ad accounts for a local audience — pick a number from the country you're targeting. Some apps also tailor content, payments or features to the number's country, and a number that matches your location and language settings tends to raise fewer questions during sign-up.

2. Compare prices
