Why didn't my Stripe code arrive?
Locked out of the Dashboard: Use your backup code, or the number you kept. In general, make sure the country selected in Stripe matches the number, request the code once and wait 60–120 seconds before resending, because repeated requests trigger rate limits.
What if Stripe doesn't accept my number?
Each app sets its own rules, so Stripe decides which numbers it accepts. If Stripe doesn't accept your PhoneBorn number within 7 days of purchase, open the number in your dashboard and press “Replace number” to get a new number from the same country for free — instantly, up to 3 times. Your plan and expiry date stay the same. If the number was never used for any SMS or call, you can take a full refund instead. Single-use OTP numbers are refunded automatically if no code arrives.
Do I need ID or my own phone to verify Stripe?
No. PhoneBorn only needs an email address and password — no ID documents, no SIM card and no existing phone number. You pay from a wallet topped up with crypto. Stripe may still have its own identity rules, which you must follow.
Is it allowed to use a second number for Stripe?
Using a second phone number to protect your privacy is legal in most countries. You must still follow Stripe's terms of service and our Terms — fraud, spam, impersonation and ban evasion are prohibited, and a new number doesn't lift a platform ban.
