After all the failures of 2009 the Swedish-Japanese alliance aka Sony Ericsson is back again – this time with the new Android proposition – the Sony Ericsson X10. It is obvious, this 4-inch screen phone has everything to be a real leader. As to me, namely this phone will return Sony Ericsson to the world of serious and prestigious mobile phones.

To my mind, this phone has two striking features: the massive screen, of course, and the way it shines – mesmerizing. The design is flawless, it is a kind of phone you would like to hold and have.

The screen occupies most of the front of the phone, and there are three buttons at the bottom: menu, home and back, however, it will take you some time to find out “who is who here.” On the top of the phone, there’s the 3.5mm headphone jack, and the on/off button – everything is simple and convenient.

As to the the tech specs. Impressive:

The OS is Google Android 1.6;
The phone comes with the Qualcomm 1Ghz Snapdragon processor;
The touchscreen is 4″ in size and boasts a 480×854 WVGA resolution;
Comes with GPS with Google Maps;
Xperia X10 boasts an 8.1 megapixel camera lens with an LED flash;
3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth;
Available in Sensuous Black and Luster White.

It seems to me that Sony Ericsson is finally ready to join the world of fantastic and impressive smartphones with huge screens. Here it comes – the Xperia X10 – the phone that perfectly combines attractive hardware with killer specs, and a promising design.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the first Android device that boasts: 4-inch screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and 8.1-megapixel camera.

The phone is very big! I like it!

Sony Ericsson Aspen

Sony has just announced a Windows Mobile system smartphone – the Sony Ericsson Aspen. Have a look at this guy, am I the only one thinking it has a lot in common with Nokia E71?

The gadget operates on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and it features a 2.4 inch QVGA TFT touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2 megapixel camera, built in WiFi, and 3.5mm audio jack.

The phone looks very stylish and it will hit the market in Q2 2010 in the colours Iconic Black and White Silver.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz

Sony Ericsson has just announced a brand-new Symbian system smartphon named the Sony Ericsson Vivaz. The new phone comes with S60 5th Edition system, 8.1 megapixel cam with face detection, a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen (640×360), FM radio, WiFi, and so on.

The phone looks really impressive – very elegant and even damn stylish.

It’ll be available in four colors — Moon Silver, Cosmic Black, Galaxy Blue, and Venus Ruby.

Sony Ericsson "Rachael" Android XPERIA Handset Finally Unveiled?

Please, you tell me, whether Sony Ericsson “Rachael” Android XPERIA handset has been finally unveiled? The following phone both looks promising and feels promising, because it should be a kind of phone that can deliver, deliver everything even the most demanding user needs: comfort, style, great applications and etc.

According to a Danish phone site Mobil the following phone boasts 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HSPA and an 8 megapixel camera. It is still unknown whether it will come with the touchscreen or not. Also it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Sony Ericsson X2?

Frankly speaking, I still don’t know what to tell you, whether this phone is real or a fake? The only one thing that I am sure about – it will replace an existing Sony Ericsson X1 but when? In a couple of days, weeks, months or years? Sad to say it, but I don’t know.

However, the phone on this picture looks nice and comes with a larger screen than its predecessor has. Also the panel interface has been changed and now the phone looks much better.

I don’t love the edges of the phone since they seem to be too sharp and not very attractive. I love the size of a new screen but I can’t say that this model looks much better than the one it is going to replace. What do you think?

Sony Ericsson Announces the iPhone-killer “Idou”

Sony Ericsson has already officially announced its completely new touchscreen and a 12-megapixel camera Idous phone. The official launch took place in Barcelona and a lot of journalists and observers have already named it an iPhone killer.

The phone comes with incredible tech specifications, such as a Cyber-shot camera with xenon flash, a complete touch screen menu, a fantastic and super bright 16:9 widescreen display, Symbian Series 60 version 5 OS. Frankly speaking, the company wasn’t saying all that much about their new gadget. The phone will be available in the second half of 2009.

I am ready to bet that the Idou is even not the way it will be called.

LG Renoir vs Apple iPhone. Any Chances?

LG company has finally released their brand new camera phone – LG Renoir. Why CAMERA phone? Because this monster features 8 megapixel camera. Isn’t it great? Frankly speaking, it is not the only advantage of this phone, also, it looks like a prestigious Apple iPhone (I think you understand what I am talking about :-)) and it is much cheaper than iPhone.

Frankly speaking, to my mind that’s all with pros. To be honest, somewhere in the middle of the night the phone will even look like Apple, but in most cases it will look like a cheap knock-off. Also the phone has a not very impressive display that offers only 262K and a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The phone will be OK for girls but not for serious players. So despite some visual similarity LG Renoir and even LG Renoir contract have no chances to replace or at least stand in one line with Apple iPhone.

Frankly speaking I would better choose either Sony Ericsson G705 deals or Nokia N85 deals. No offence to anyone choosing solely Sony or Nokia, I would say these two phones are almost the same. Except some points … Nokia has better design (but this option is completely subjective), it offers a better camera (8 megapixels and Sony just 3.2), but Ericsson has much more convenient GPS service and even integrated Google maps, both have big screens, nice colour decisions, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as auto screen rotation.

Which one would you like to buy?
