Recession? Who said it? Such ideas will disappear when you see the world’s most expensive phone. This mind-blowing diamond-encrusted Kings Button iPhone 3G is made for real tycoons and it will cost them not less than $2,517,345 (£1.6m). The phone was designed by Austrian jeweller Peter Aloisson and the whole phone is framed with a white gold line of 138 brilliant cut diamonds. The most interesting option is about the size of the diamonds that was used for the phone’s main button – it is a rare 6.6 carat diamond. The edge of the iPhone was also adorned by 138 finely cut diamonds.
Frankly speaking, the following phone blurred the measure between gadget and jewellery. The first bejewelled phone was made by designer in 1998 and it cost $1.3 million dollar. And now – iPhone, that is a star itself and with such a number of diamonds it easily becomes a superstar.
The phone seems to scream out in faces of people – you are poor and my owner is rich. However, a “simple” Apple iPhone is still a great alternative.
